Skungamaug River Lessons

Teaching the game of golf has long been a tradition at Skungamaug River Golf Club. Whether you are an accomplished player or just a beginner, we have developed programs to accommodate all players. We are happy to provide you with individual instruction or group lessons. In either setting, we are sure you will find our instruction to be very thorough, and your lesson to be an enjoyable experience.

We offer beginner group lessons every Tuesday and Thursday evening throughout the spring and summer, as well as a junior golf camp in July that. Our driving range has grass tees, a large putting green, and a private instruction tee for lessons with PGA Professional Rick Nelson.

PGA Professional Rick Nelson offers lessons for $50, or a package of 3 lessons for $140. Do yourself a favor and make an important step to improving your golf game with some instruction. Your game will improve as well as your enjoyment of this great game!!!

Rick is a huge fan of the Cleveland Browns, thus you will find his "Shrine" glass case full of Browns memorabilia. To the right of the shrine is a seat out of the old Cleveland Memorial Stadium. The sign "Brown's Country" is prominently displayed in the golf shop.
